These Terms of Service govern your use of bgless.video, including the website, transparent video maker, video background remover, green screen remover, format converters, API, SDKs, uploads, downloads, credits, subscriptions, job history, webhooks, and related services. By using bgless.video, you agree to these Terms.
bgless.video helps users create and deliver transparent video assets. The service may let you generate transparent video from prompts, animate images, remove a video background, remove a green screen, preserve or create alpha channels, convert files into WebM alpha, MOV alpha, PNG sequence, APNG, animated WebP, transparent GIF, or alpha matte formats, and automate jobs through API keys and webhooks.
The service may rely on third-party AI providers, transcoding systems, queues, storage providers, payment processors, email providers, analytics tools, and infrastructure services. Provider availability, model behavior, output quality, processing speed, queue time, upload limits, output compatibility, and alpha quality can change. bgless.video may update, replace, throttle, suspend, or remove a provider, model, output format, API field, or workflow when needed for reliability, cost, safety, security, or legal reasons.
You keep the rights you have in uploaded inputs, prompts, source media, and generated outputs. You grant bgless.video and its vendors the rights needed to host, upload, process, transmit, transform, store, preview, deliver, debug, secure, and support your content for the purpose of providing the service. This includes sending media to providers or transcoders, storing files in object storage, creating previews, generating QA artifacts, and delivering signed downloads.
You must have all rights, permissions, licenses, and consents needed to upload and process your content. Do not use the transparent video maker, video background remover, green screen remover, or API to process media you do not have the right to use. You are responsible for reviewing generated outputs before publishing, selling, distributing, or using them in production.
You may not use bgless.video for illegal content, exploitation, harassment, hateful conduct, non-consensual intimate imagery, impersonation, unauthorized likeness misuse, privacy invasion, malware, phishing, spam, credential theft, platform abuse, automated scraping that harms the service, attempts to bypass rate limits, attempts to reverse engineer provider safeguards, or attempts to overload infrastructure.
You may not use API keys, signed upload URLs, signed download URLs, webhook endpoints, or generated assets in a way that compromises other users, exposes secrets, violates law, or avoids billing. We may suspend accounts, reject jobs, revoke API keys, remove content, block traffic, or contact authorities when we believe misuse has occurred.
Some jobs consume credits. Credit estimates are shown before a job is created when possible, but actual cost may depend on provider, model, duration, resolution, output formats, retries, or infrastructure behavior. A job may reserve, deduct, refund, or adjust credits according to the active implementation and payment configuration.
Subscriptions, checkout, invoices, tax handling, disputes, and refunds may be processed by providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or Creem. Failed provider submissions and failed jobs may be refunded automatically when bgless.video can verify the failure state. We are not required to refund credits for user error, unsupported source files, low-quality uploads, prompt choices, output preferences, downstream incompatibility, expired signed URLs, or results that are technically successful but subjectively unsatisfactory.
If you use the API, you are responsible for protecting API keys, webhook secrets, signed URLs, uploaded files, downloaded outputs, logs, and any applications that call bgless.video. Do not expose secret keys in client-side code. You must handle retries, timeouts, duplicate webhook deliveries, job failures, provider delays, and format compatibility in your own application.
We may rate-limit, suspend, rotate, or revoke API access to protect the service. API fields, SDKs, output schemas, model IDs, and webhook payloads may change during the MVP and beta phases. We try to preserve compatibility for production use, but you should test integrations before relying on them for critical workflows.
The service is provided as-is and as-available. Transparent video output can vary because source footage, compression, lighting, motion blur, hair, reflections, shadows, green spill, provider quality, model behavior, and format support all affect results. bgless.video does not guarantee perfect alpha, uninterrupted service, permanent storage, provider availability, search ranking, revenue, legal compliance of your content, or compatibility with every editor, browser, player, platform, or workflow.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, bgless.video is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to bgless.video for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the claim, or USD $100 if no amount was paid.
We may update these Terms as the product, providers, pricing, API, or legal requirements change. Continued use of bgless.video after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
